At Kew Riverside, we believe that all children are entitled to an education that enables them to make progress so that they:

  • reach their potential
  • become confident, independent individuals living fulfilling lives, and
  • make a successful transition into the next stage of their education.

This policy is written in line with the requirements of:

  • Part 3 of the Children and Families Act 2014
  • SEND Code of Practice 2014
  • The Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014
  • The Special Educational Needs (Personal Budgets and Direct Payments) Regulations, Section 49
  • The Order setting out transitional arrangements, Section 137
  • The Equality Act 2010

It should also be read in conjunction with the following Kew Riverside policies:

  • School Vision
  • Behaviour Policy
  • Anti-Bullying Policy
  • Exclusions Policy
  • Equalities Policy
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy
  • Complaints Policy
  • Accessibility Policy
