Kew Riverside was designed around the idea that every child should find his or her own music in order that they might  be able to reach their full potential, and dance.

Music allows us all to express ourselves and communicate and connect with each other in very special ways. Each class has an hour of music each week with our dedicated music teacher, Holly Bull. We focus on making music and being creative. In our weekly lessons the children sing, compose, and play a number of instruments including percussion, recorders, brass, and keyboards.

In addition to class music lessons, we currently have two ensembles which children are encouraged to join:

  • Kew Riverside Singers, our choir, is open to all children in Key Stage 2, rehearses Friday lunchtimes.
  • Right on Kew Orchestra, our orchestra, is open to instrumentalists at a grade 1 or higher level

We also offer small group and individual lessons (at additional cost) on these instruments:

*we don't currently have a voice teacher, but Richmond Music Trust are running a waiting list, so please apply if you're interested. Once we have enough interest we can get a teacher in.
