Pupil Parliament

Pupil Parliament - 2014

On the 9th October Lewie and I went to the Council Chambers at York House to participate in Pupil Parliament.  We were given a task to discuss and write speeches about - ‘Sport Premium money is allocated to school to improve sporting opportunities’.

In Y5 we were chosen to represent our school. Every school in the borough sent two representatives to try to win the title of Mayor or Deputy Mayor.

We spent the day reading speeches and voting for the top 10 and then who ever got through read their speech to the mayor of Richmond Borough – Councillor Jane Boulton. Lewie got into the top 10 which gave him the chance of winning.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to become Mayor or Deputy Mayor but we still wrote some great speeches, and it was so much fun!
