Monkey’s trip to the Wetland Centre
Find out about the Monkey class trip to the Wetlands Centre in Barnes
On Thursday the 29th January, Monkey class went to the Wetlands Centre in Barnes. We walked to the bus station and got the 33 bus and then the train.
My partner was Ruben L. We were very excited and it felt nice because the air was clean and fresh.
When we arrived we were met by a lady who told us to put our stuff into a big plastic white box to keep it safe and together.
We saw lots of green parakeets, brown otters and grey herons.
What did you learn?
We learnt that there are many different species of bird in London, for example: parakeets and herons.
We also learnt that Otters may look like they live on land but actually live in the water.
When it was lunchtime we ate in one of their teaching rooms. From the window we could see the Shard, the London Eye and Wembley Stadium.
My favourite part was lunch and the playground! This is because we had ate our food quickly and had lots of time to play with our friends. The playground was also great fun.
My favourite animal was the otters because they were so cute. They swam in a weird but funny way and made lovely sounds.
We came home on the train and the 33 bus again – we all talked about our lovely, fun day.
