Rhino Class Kingston Museum Trip

Find out more about the Year 5 trip to Kingston Museum

On the 10th of November 2014, Year 5 went on a school trip to Kingston museum! We went there to study the Vikings and the Anglo Saxons. To travel to our destination we took two buses, and in the blink of an eye, we had arrived!

The first thing we did when we entered the museum was admire the beautiful artefacts and surroundings. We played a game of eye spy whilst waiting to enter the exhibition.

As soon as we stepped inside we met our tour guide called Hannah. We split into three groups and did many different activities to do with the Saxons such as:

  • story telling
  • worksheets
  • learning about  Viking language

We also really enjoyed getting to hold swords, shields and pots from the Anglo-Saxon times.

Overall, it was an AMAZING school trip! Both Olivia and I strongly recommend that you visit with your family and enjoy all the activities that the (small!) museum has to offer.
